01. Animal Kingdom (5/5):
Crime in its rawest form!
02. Devil (2,5/5):
Too many plot holes to enjoy, an authentic reminisce of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None (much better than Identity), though.
03. The King's Speech (4/5):
Quite compelling, great performance from Firth but still stops as a period drama, could not meet my expectation.
04. Blue Valentine (5/5):
The most painful thing about separation is happiness, that has been gone, forever...
05. Rango (4/5):
Right choice for happy-moment-seeker. Clint Eastwood must be proud of this film, for many reasons. After True Grit comes Rango, the renaissance of Western?
06. Hop (1,5/5):
James Marsden sucks! Hank Azaria, I miss your Friends' David :((!
07. Source Code (4/5):
Marvelous reminiscence of Groundhound Day, very good acting, consistent plot, satisfying ending.
08. Thor (2,5/5):
Making a nonsense superhero movie seem like a Shakespearean play - amazing work of Kenneth Branagh. Cheesy CGI, boring characters, though. The best part might be the long galaxy sequence after the ending, when audiences can really admire the power of 3D (it's funny that almost ALL audiences already left by then, don't know what they pay the supplementary money for =)) ).
09. Beastly (0,5/5):
A totally failed Beauty and the Beast wannabe, the lame plot is actually much more worse than the face of the lead male character, the acting is terrible, and last but not least, the translation is disastrous, don't know what the translator would feel when she/he watched this "beautiful" example of the proverb "translating is destroying" (Traduire, c'est trahir).
10. Kung Fu Panda 2 (5/5):
When cuteness becomes greatness.
11. The Lost Bladesman (1,5/5):
Donnie Yen has done very well his job of ridiculing Guan Yun Chang.
12. The Adjustment Bureau (2,5/5):
Cheesy, in a ridiculous way.
13. Unknown (2,5/5):
It seems that Liam Neeson continues to live well by his Taken's legacy. The twist is quite good but too many plot-holes and the under-development of many potential characters ruined the film for good.
coi xong Blue Valentine cứ ám ảnh mãi :)
